Hilton Wembley, London

Ok, yes, I go to London a lot, and rates vary a lot, and so I shop around, not only for bargains but also for new properties to write up. This trip, both aligned at the Wembley Hilton, not far from the Tube, has a lounge, is modern. Yeah, I was enthused.

Arrival

I took the Jubilee line up on quite a hot day in London. We got stopped for over an hour, luckily at a station so we could at least step outside the train, as they shut down all the track power because kids were playing on the tracks. Yes, literally. Those stuck between stations musta had a very uncomfortable time.

Then I took an elevator down to what I will call stadium level, and a reasonable walk with bags to the hotel. At other times, the train was quite decent, about 20 minutes into the main city areas. Locals say the Jubilee line has the most trains and reliable service even if it runs a little slower to your destination.

The Room

I arrived a bit after check-in because I had to run to an event after I dropped off my bags earlier in the day. I was able to be very cordial and get an upgrade to an actual suite, a corner suite as a matter of fact.

Dining

The Association is the primary breakfast restaurant, which has an insane buffet. Then Icons (which was taken for events a couple times I was there) is the lunch and dinner drinking eating spot, but when the space is booked, they move to The Association for dinner. To top it off, on the roof, there is Sky Bar 9. This is a combo casual bar inside and kinda show up and be seen bar on the open deck outside. It has everything from calm to fancy depending where you sit and what you order.

Executive Lounge

A fully functioning executive lounge. Those are quite rare for Hilton in the USA anymore but still have a good representation in England. This was a pretty good one, some people in there definitely taking advantage of it bringing in entire family and friends including the wild children running about.

Other Areas

So... the gym and then some other shots. The gym was a third party managed affair like many places with Hiltons in England, making my ability to shoot the pool, non-existent.
I guess 430 was bigger, but this wasn't terribly difficult to suffer In room drinks, which were very expensive Yep, a suite, so suite amenities Seems a large place for just breakfast Juice overload Cold stuff, like salads The full English breakfast starts here And the full English ends here, but all of the things that are a part are present Pretty decent pastries Very pub-like seating for the dinner spot, there are a ton of places close by too though This is the spot to go in the evening Pretty low key but a lot of booze Sky9 Menu selection of drinks At night, you can't get near these outside Sky9 seats I honestly cannot remember where this is but I think in The Association On the same floor as Sky9, the lounge entrance The concierge desk for requests Quieter on this end by the Sky9 outdoor The main seating area, in a particular dining layout Evening food offering Deserts and cheese. The cheese was my choice as I don't abide cheesecake. Yeah, sounds counterintuitive doesn't it? Mmm, help yourself, even Cuban rum Yeah, this was kinda the gym except people were on the cardio and I dislike taking pics of people in the gym

Summary

Staggering distance from Wembley Stadium. This is THE place to stay for any event here, which is when I am sure rates go up, but to stay at a full service hotel with suites and an executive lounge right by the venue seems pretty spot on ideal.

If you don't have lounge access, should you buy up for it here? Rob's opinion is, not for a solo trip, but if you're spoiling someone, yes.
Impressive main staircase from before elevator days
